ON this weeks show we’re truly thrilled to present a live performance from Paul Newland and Tim Noble, otherwise known as The Lowland Hundred.
The duo have release two peerless albums so far – their 2010 debut Under Cambrian Sky and last year’s Adit. Both offer up psychogeographical explorations of the duo’s home town of Aberystwyth through the loosest of song structures – a contemporary drift that utilises acoustic and electronic instrumentation and Newland’s uniquely evocative vocals. This is music with enormously high ambition – with a skyscraping scope that nevertheless remains incredibly understated and humble – a truly Blakean grain of sand.
